The Western Center for Integrated Resource Management(WCIRM)

affords its students a unique opportunity to gain a diverse agricultural education through classroom and hands-on sessions. View the WCIRM Education Programs video.

 

Our Mission

is to improve the sustainability and profitability of forage-based agriculture and natural resource systems through integrated and innovative multidisplinary research and education programs.

 

  • We offer a unique Master of Agricultural Sciences degree utilizing contributing faculty from the College of Agricultural Sciences, the Warner College of Natural Resources and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

  • Classes are offered as intense two week sessions thus allowing for flexibility.

  • Outreach programs including workshops and Redbook purchases managed by WCIRM.

  • The long term goal of the Western Center is to "improve the competitive position and sustainability of independent livestock producers and the economic and environmental health of rural communities".
